They were "very impressed with my qualifications...blah blah blah" but they decided to hire someone else.

The interview went really well. I met with three gentlemen from the team I am applying for and really enjoyed our conversation. It seemed they did as well. (Side Note: My Bro-in-law, who currently works at L3, talked with a couple of the guys and said they were very favoribly impressed, so it sounds good from both sides)
Subsequently I have submitted information for a background check... another good sign...
and all signs point to receiving an offer... 
unless they find someone with better credentials at their bi-annual Job Fair. 
The timing stinks, with our baby coming in less than three weeks now, but if it's as good an opportunity as it sounds, that shouldn't make too much of a difference.
I'll post more if I hear anything. Keep your fingers crossed for me. While I am in a good position right now at CUSA, I am ready for a change... THIS change.
