I liked the contrast between these two views as both expressed some truths but I agree more with the second than the first.

I agree. The first article seemed to hit some subject pretty on-target, but the second article put things in perspective and revised my thinking of what the first opinion had stated. It is always difficult to leave things out (Christian Bale's personal troubles and Heath Ledger's drug issue) when trying to wrap your mind around a subject, but I thought the second article dealt with that nicely and taught a good lesson in the process (about casting judgment).
