New Campaign Character Selection

Postby Boric Glanduum » Mon Jan 28, 2013 4:48 pm

Let's start here, until we get a devoted forum section for Lorin's Campaign.

I've decided to go Rogue. And in doing so, done what no DM has been able to do....

I've eliminated all of Jared's pre-campaign character choices to one: the Bladesinger.

Excellent Jaren. That will be quite the change for you... Especially if you remain your favorite character class.

I will post more details this weekend about the adventure and will email background details to be inserted into your background stories once I have all your character class desires. :)

now that I've had time to digest the shock to my system that I cannot play a rogue or the uptillion variations of that class that I've had lined up. I have indeed digressed to one class but fear not I just added another, a ranger/arcane archer. sorry Scott.

OK, I've decided on a story arc. Plan on being Level 5.

Sounds good level 5 it is. nothing more? Should we just assume standard PC treasure found on page 215 or there about in the phbii? I'm dying for the story line.

I think at least 125,000 gp per player should suffice

Um, no. lol

But yes, take the base wealth from page 215 in the PBH II.

That is the amount of $5,400 GP. Also, to add flavor, roll a 20-sided die and take the number X100 as an extra amount. This will indicate how good (or bad) of an adventurer you were from levels 1-5. :D

Email me that number you rolled and what character you are going to be. Or post it here. I need to know at least your character by the end of this week, please. Otherwise I'll be rushing to get your background tie-in's and you'll be rushing to provide a suitable background story.

You will get a whopping TWO (2) RP's for writing your own background story, so get to it and get me your character classes. Anything else you want to add, as far as where you're from, etc. will be helpful.

It's going to be fun. :boxing: :violent3: :-({|=

Incidentally the 5400 gp is actually the gp for a fourth level character. Its 9000 gp for a fifth lvl. So which number should we go with?

Must have looked at the wrong column.

Everything I said above, except take 9,000 GP. :)

Waterdeep -City of Splendors
My name is E’liarsin or Eli. I’m a corporal in the City Guard or was. Life in the Guard was good. I have to admit there was never a dull moment in the Docks Ward. A couple of months down there and I was a veteran for anything the North Ward and Trades Ward could through at me. In fact, life was all out boring when my reassignment out of the Docks happened. The Trades Ward at night kept me on my toes. The footpads would be out and about and the Watch would need our help, but honestly North Ward was cushy. The most excitement I ever got there is when I had to escort a noble down to the Docks to receive a shipment of some fine artwork. The thieves’ guild knew it was coming and we had to fight our way back to North Ward and even on to his home. The irony is once we got it inside he had it stolen from him two days later, it seems the guild could not be persuaded to give up. I have to thank that noble though, he set me on my current path, sort of anyways. I was called in one day to provide a little extra muscle as this nobleman went to the Trade Ward for a meeting. He rented a room to meet with someone he called a “specialist in recoveryâ€

Part II.
Master Norry told me that I might want to take my adventuring northward toward Everlund and Silverymoon. He mentioned I should start at a tree fortress knows as Teuveamanthar that was on the edge of the High Forest along the Dessarin trade route about a day south of the Dassarin itself. He gave me papers that he said “would help get my foot in the doorâ€

Nice work, Jared.

I have created two new areas for everyone's use, called the Dragon Coast Adventure. SO, Jared, if you'd just copy and paste this into one post under the background stories, that would be awesome.

You'll find more information there as well over the next couple weeks.

This is going to be fun. :)

Guys, don't forget to email me your characters once you have them done. I want to have everything reviewed by the 8th.

Thanks. :)
